94 Please note: Online registration for most programs closes two business days prior to the start date of the program. For all drop-off registration, please allow up to 2 business days for processing. What is the Lottery? The Park District Lottery is a computerized software program that works with our current registration system. At noon on the designated lottery day the software program reviews each class by code number and enrolls registratants into their selected programs. The lottery is only for residents of the Park District of Oak Park. There are some classes that are excluded from the lottery - these are noted in the program description. For those programs that have more registrants than spaces available, the lottery randomly selects participants from all the registratants for the class, and enrolls the maximum number in the class. The remainder of registrants are placed on a "waitlist," to be notified should a space in the class open up. A lottery receipt is then sent to the e-mail address we have on file for every registration, indicating whether they have been enrolled in a class, or waitlisted. This information is also available in our online registration system under "My Account." Once the lottery date has passed, resident registration are processed as received. Non-resident registrations are not included in the lottery and are not available until the Monday following the lottery.
