of wheel techniques, discovery, and exploration as
you experience the Park District's ceramic stuido
at Dole Center. Come ready to get messy and learn
the basics. Please note the studio only has 6 wheels;

Family Wheel Throwing
(Adult Participant required)
Supervisor: Amanda Heiman
Explore the use of the wheel and basic throwing
techniques in a family-friendly class. All participants
will learn how to throw on the wheel. Wheel practice
will take place weekly in addition to learning the
basics of glazing and pottery creation. Fee covers one
child and one adult. Please note the studio only has
6 wheels; therefore space is limited . . . sign up today!
Instructor: Kris V. When registering, please sign up
under your child's name . . . this family class is for
children ages 5-11 with an adult.

Teen Ceramics
Supervisor: Amanda Heiman
What a fun way to spend a Friday night with friends,
jammin'to music while makin' art! Sign-up to take
this ceramics class where you will get creative with
the wheel and hand-building techniques to fashion
anything from a jewelry box to a pencil holder to
a coffee mug! Please note the studio only has 6
wheels for use during open hours.

Kids will learn simple ceramics as well as building
and glazing skills through specially designed
projects. This class focuses on hand building tech-
niques. Clay, glazes, and tools will be provided.

Explore a variety of hand building techniques with
your child. Projects vary form pinch pots to tiles, to
sculptures and more! Come ready to get messy . . .
