We may even find a unique, creative way to make our own snow or even have a snow ball fight indoors . . . ! Bring your ideas and warm clothes to this winter, one day class! March: Celebrate Seuss One fish, Two fish, Red fish, Blue fish! This program will make connections between art, science, and literature through the celebration of the cherished, rhyme mastering children's author: Dr. Seuss! Come ready to read, ready to sing, and ready for fun! One Day Winter Play Days Supervisor: Amanda Heiman One Day Winter PLAY! The snow is falling down, the snow is falling down, silent, light, airy, and white, the snow is falling down! Winter is near...join old and new friends as we play our way through this fun and frigid season. As part of this one day program your child will explore using their five senses in a variety of hands-on, age appropriate activities January: Parachute Play Run, hop, skip, and jump under and over the parachute. Dance like a chicken, bop like a kangaroo, and more in this movement and activity-packed class focused on all the silly willy activities created with parachutes, balls, scarves, and more. We may even see what it takes to make our own parachute! Measure, Pour & Test Supervisor: Amanda Heiman This is the perfect 6 week class for your little scientist. Each week participants will use their senses to experi- ment with everyday items such as water, sugar, eggs, and ping pong balls. They may write secret messages with invisible ink or bend straws with water; experi- ments equal excitement! Your child is sure to come home amazed by what they've learned and ready to amaze you with Science! Do you wonder how they are made, how they work, or how to fix them? Come join Mad Science as they explore the wonderful world of toys in January. From tops to cars to even airplanes toys are full of excitement whether we are playing with them or discovering the science behind them! Min 10/Max 15 Mad Science: Dinosaurs Supervisor: Amanda Heiman Travel back in time as your child experiences the time of dinosaurs! Children will learn about different types of dinosaurs and participate in a dinosaur dig. If your child is crazy about dinosaurs, then this one-day pro- gram is a perfect opportunity to foster their curiosity. Min 10/Max 15 Mad Science: Space Frontiers Supervisor: Amanda Heiman Explore the mystery of outer space in this one day program with Mad Science. What's in space? Who's in space? Can I go to space? Through hands on experimen- tation, learning and facilitation your child will discover the science behind planets, moons, and stars! Min 10/Max 15 Early Childhood Fun Parent-Tot Skate at Paul Hruby Ice Arena Mondays & Fridays, 9:15-10:15am Admission: $4/child, parent is free! Skate rental: $3 - or purchase a skate rental pass and save $$$ Finally there is a time on the ice just for parents and children. What better way to develop motor skills, balance, and agility than to come out on the ice in a time just for you. Skating aids will be available and the rink will be open to only children under the age of 6. All children must be supervised by parents and no adults are allowed without a child. Start a new routine this fall and visit the ice rink for a fun and educational experience!
