Skills developed in this class include beginning striding, stopping and turning technique, and an introduction to edges and backward movement. This level introduces introductory hockey skills such as sweep shots and passes and basic puck handling. Equipment Required: skates, knee/shin pads, elbow pads, gloves, and helmet # of classes: 8 $75 resident / $99 non-resident Polar Cubs 3 Ages 3-5 Supervisor: Kyle Sandine Prerequisites: Passing Polar Cubs 2 Polar Cubs 3 develops skating further while preparing players for travel hockey. Skaters will learn to make quicker and precise movements and transitions by further developing the stride, stopping and backward skating. This level also introduces hockey skills that are necessary at the travel level.
