Jr. Cubhouse (Ages 3-4) Supervisor: Amanda Heiman If your child is transitioning into a Pre-Kindergarten class, or rounding the corner into Kindergarten, give them the educational edge that they deserve. Preschool bootcamp is designed to give your child short bursts of curriculum that they may face going into a Kindergarten classroom through literacy, math, problem solving, and science inquiry. Please provide a packed lunch each day with your child. Min 8/Max 16 FULL Pre-Kindergarten Program (Ages 4-5) Supervisor: Amanda Heiman DCFS-Licensed Our Pre-Kindergarten program offers a developmentally-appropriate, skill-based class designed to meet the needs of children transitioning from preschool into kindergarten. Curriculum materials focus on phonemic awareness, writing, math, and reading readiness while promoting independent thinking and problem-solving skills. Our program goal is to provide academic opportunities that are critical in developing your child's foundation for future school success. To enhance our students' learning for a bi-lingual future, this program will introduce participants to colors, shapes, and numbers in Spanish as well as English. Min 8/Max 20 Jr. Clubhouse S.M.A.R.T (Ages 4-5) Supervisor: Amanda Heiman Is your child starting kindergarten next year? Do they need more time with friends and an opportunity to expand their knowledge? With our S.M.A.R.T program (Science, Math, Art, Reading & Technology) your child will adapt to a longer day, build on their friendships, and engage in advanced curriculum. Program immediately follows Carroll Pre-K - pack a sack lunch! Min 8/Max 16 Playschool (Ages 2-3) Supervisor: Amanda Heiman This class is a great first independent experience for your child! Playschool is designed to provide a warm, nurturing environment for children ages 2-3. This transition from home to school will emphasize the active development of your child's social, emotional, and cognitive skills. The caring, qualified teachers will focus on preschool preparedness such as: taking turns, following directions, listening, and sharing. Language development is supported through daily theme-based activities that include ABC's, counting, story time, songs, games, and projects. Potty training is not required to enroll in this program; however upon an accident parents/guardians will be contacted to return to school to assist their child as our teachers and facilities are not equipped and/or trained in diaper changing.
