All materials included. Min 4/Max 6 Youth Ceramics Supervisor: Amanda Heiman Kids will learn simple ceramics as well as building and glazing skills through specially designed projects. This class focuses on hand building techniques. Clay, glazes, and tools will be provided. Min 4/Max 10 Class does not meet: 04/01 Family Ceramics Supervisor: Amanda Heiman Explore a variety of hand building techniques with your child. Projects vary from pinch pots to tiles, to sculptures and more! Come ready to get messy . . . fee covers one child and one adult Min 4/Max 10 Class does not meet:04/01 Family Wheel Throwing Supervisor: Amanda Heiman Explore the use of the wheel and basic throwing tech- niques in a family-friendly class. All participants will learn how to throw on the wheel. Wheel practice will take place weekly in addition to learning the basics of glazing and pottery creation. Fee covers one child and one adult - we only have 6 wheels! Min 4/Max 6 Class does not meet: 03/29 Supervisor: Poppy Vogel These classes are a mix of demonstration and hands-on techniques with a professional chef in the catering kitchen at Cheney Mansion. Sushi, Sushi & More Chef Ron Martin will teach yu how to properly make and season Sushi rice. You will learn how to make and roll a California and inside-out roll. Min 6/Max 10 A Taste of Thailand Students will "visit" Thailand and learn to make Summer Spring Rolls with Peanut Sauce and Pad See Ewe. Min 6/Max 10 Foods of Mexico Chef Ron will lead you through an authentic menu of Nachos, tacos from the Oaxacan region of Mexico and Roasted Chicken with Mojo Sauce. Min 5/Max 8 Youth Arts Teen Ceramics Supervisor: Amanda Heiman Sign-up to take this ceramics class where you will get creative with the wheel and hand-building techniques to fashion anything from a jewelry box to a pencil holder to a coffee mug! Please note the studio only has 6 wheels for use. Min 4/Max 10 Class does not meet: 04/01 Open Studio Times Supervisor: Amanda Heiman Didn't have time to finish your project in class ... was absent one day ... just need extra studio time? For those enolled in any ceramics class this season we are offering open studio hours one Friday a month. Come in starting at 6pm and stay until 10pm, giving you ample time to put those final touches on your masterpieces. FREE for current students - Just show up! Not a current student?
