41 www.pdop.org Early Childhood Fun One Day Summer Plays (Ages 3-5) e sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and it's time to play! Join friends, old and new, as we enjoy the summer sun. Each day has a different theme allowing children the opportunity to explore using their five senses by making something, playing something, or building something. ese play days are a great place to meet new kids in the area, just like you! June Creepy, Crawly Critters Saturday, June 25, 10:00am-Noon Supervisor: Liza Nicol Get up close and personal with the bugs in our own backyard! Go on a bug hunt, create your own critter, all while spending the morning having fun in the sun with friends. Saturday, July 23, 10:00am-Noon Supervisor: Liza Nicol Beat the heat this July and join us for our very own beach party! Come ready for a morning packed with water games, a cra, themed games, and fun in the sun. Be sure to bring your swimsuit and towel! Come join us for only the slipperiest and slimiest of activities. Maybe we will make slime, or mix up our own finger paint. ere won't be a clean hand in sight! Min 6/Max 20 Location: Longfellow Park Activity #: 363372-01 Res/NR: $20/30 Mad Science: Fluttering Birds Supervisor: Liza Nicol Children will be excited to learn all about their fine feathered friends when they take an up close look at birds! ey will discover how to match bird mates and see which eggs are produced by which species. Did you know that a bird's beak is actually a tool and that birds sing their own special songs? Children will take home bird warblers to practice their bird songs at home. Min 10/Max 15 Mad Science: Science of Music Supervisor: Liza Nicol Boom, tap, smack, cha-cha-cha. Listen to the sounds and rhythm of the science of music! Children will learn to control the volume and feel, hear and see the vibrations that help create music in this hands-on exploration.
