Volleykidz

is is an introductory class for children in Grades
1st-3rd. e lesson plan introduces the pass, set
and spike using a very light volleyball. Volleykidz
will improve each child's hand/eye coordination
and le/right coordination through fun drills and

Improve your volleyball skills with 60 minutes of
drills in setting, passing, overhand serving, and
spiking. e lesson plan directs the use of self-
mastery training and groups that help each student

IGLA Girls' Lacrosse

Be part of a community-based lacrosse league just for girls! e goal of the IGLA is to teach the rules of lacrosse
within an active teamwork setting, encourage sportsmanship, and foster personal development in a respectful
manner. e Illinois Girls Lacrosse Association is adopting the U.S. Lacrosse Players First Athlete Development
Model: e Right Lacrosse At e Right Time. Providing every athlete the opportunity to enter, enjoy, and excel
by learning and playing lacrosse in a way that's best for each stage of growth and development. is creates a
model of participation that provides opportunity for all. Smaller players, smaller fields. at's the name of the
game if we want to keep kids engaged, developing their skills and getting more touches on the ball. We'll see
better skill development, more enjoyment, and increased retention rates by letting the kids play the right way.
Min 8/Max 50
• U7 Clinic - Each week 30 min practice and a 30 min scrimmage. Sticks are available and so balls
provided. No goggles or mouth guard is required
• U9 - Practices on ursdays, Games on Sundays. A stick and soball are required to participate. Goggles and
mouth guards are optional (Games between 12-2p)
• U11 - Practices on ursdays, Games on Sundays. (Games between 12-3p)
• U13 - Practices on ursdays, Games on Sundays. (Games between 1-4p)
• U15 - Practices on ursdays, Games on Sundays. (Games between 2-5p)
East Ave. Lacrosse
Supervisor: Dan Schaffer
East Ave Lacrosse is an Oak-Park and River Forest-based lacrosse club focused on growing the game in the
area and developing the next generation of Fenwick Friars and OPRF Huskies. We seek to promote a fun and
engaging experience that will help your son develop a love for the game which is shared by all of East Ave's
coaches and staff, who are all either high school varsity or college coaches. First-time players and experienced
veterans alike will greatly increase their knowledge of the game, advance their individual skills, and have a
great time with their new friends. Free equipment rental is available for first-time players, upon request. All
participants are required to have a helmet, gloves, shoulder pads, elbow pad, athletic cup, and mouthguard.
Each East Ave. player is required to be a member of U.S. Lacrosse. Membership is $35 per year and provides
a subscription to Lacrosse Magazine, access to online content, and accidental insurance coverage. Instructor:
