A new project or medium will be introduced each day. Students will create art indoors and even out (weather permitting), by engaging in three 50 minute art lessons in the morning, led by highly-qualified art educators. Min 4/Max 10 Clay Monsters Supervisor: Amanda Heiman Spend a week getting creative as you design your very own clay monster. Students will start by learning how to create a pinch pot. Monsters will then begin to transform as you add horns, teeth, spiked hair, one . . . or twelve eyeballs! Each monster will be as unique as the artist that designs it. All participants will learn cool new strategies at the appropriate level from a renowned Chess Scholars coach. Children will have an opportunity to test for a Chess Belt® under a unique Chess Scholars system patterned aer martial arts belts. Each class will consist of a fun interactive teaching period and guided practice time. ere will also be a chess competition with prizes! Each camper will take home a chess set and an award. Please bring your own snacks. Min 5/Max 20 Into the Wild Spring Camp Supervisor: Leah Pryor Let's go on a nature adventure! We'll look under logs, get muddy and learn about all the natural wonders that are out there in this great world during this fun spring break camp. Be sure to pack a water bottle and a peanut-free snack and lunch with your camper as we need energy each day for our adventures! Min 8/Max 24 Circus Spring Break Camp Supervisor: Laura Greeley is camp is designed for students to try their hand at Circus and includes a small showcase display for parents on the last day. You will learn basic tricks and stunts straight from the circus. Trapeze and aerial silks will be taught. is is a unique opportunity and a great way to improve strength and coordination. Min 8/Max 16 Pre-Engineering: Mine, Craft, Build using LEGO® Supervisor: Amanda Heiman Bring Minecra to life using tens of thousands of LEGO®! Build engineer- designed projects such as a motorized Creeper, a portal to the Nether, and a moving Minecart! Create your favorite Minecra objects with the guidance of an experienced Play-Well instructor. Whether you are new to Minecra and LEGO® or a seasoned veteran, you'll be hooked on the endless creative possibilities. Min 11/Max 16 Engineering FUNdamentals: Mine, Craft, Build using LEGO® Supervisor: Amanda Heiman Bring Minecra to life using LEGO®! Build a motorized walking Creeper, a terrifying Ghast, and a motorized Minecart! is project-based camp, designed by Play-Well instructors, combines the basic format of our core engineering-themed programs based on the world of Minecra. Students will explore real-world concepts in physics, engineering and architecture while building their favorite Minecra objects. Students will have a blast, even without any prior experience with Minecra or LEGO®.
