Each themed evening will include a pizza dinner, a fun take-home project, and play time with friends while you get some much deserved time to yourself. Don't miss out on the fun for both guardians and kids. Min 6/Max 16 Music and Movement Supervisor: Maureen McCarthy Participants will enjoy moving to the beat as they get their heart rate up with large muscle movements including marching, jumping, and running. Parachute play will add to the fun as they learn how to control their movements in space through active songs and games. Let's move it! Min 5/Max 8 Clay Paint and Draw Outdoors Supervisor: Maureen McCarthy Busy hands mean busy minds. Engage in an aernoon of art while exploring the richness of clay, the power of paint, and the drama of drawing. Different projects will be introduced each week to encourage participants to tap into their creativity through art! Min 6/Max 12 Kids in the Kitchen Supervisor: Maureen McCarthy We are stirring up a recipe for learning and fun! In this class, your child will enhance both math and reading skills by following easy snack recipes. Table manners will be encouraged as the kids enjoy their aernoon snack and conversation with friends. Min 5/Max 10 Frogs, Fireflies, & Princesses Supervisor: Maureen McCarthy Have you ever watched fireflies dance in the yard on a warm summer night or heard prince frogs sing to their princesses aer the sun goes down? Spend the evening with the Princess and the frog as we learn more about her adventure and if you really need to kiss a frog to find your prince! We will plan themed activities, games, and a snack as you spend this special evening with the Princess at Cheney Mansion. Min 10/Max 40 One Day: Science Play Supervisor: Maureen McCarthy e sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and it's time to play! Join friends, old and new, as we enjoy the summer sun. Each day has a different science theme allowing children the opportunity to use their five senses to discover and explore the wonders of science OUTSIDE. ese play days are a great place to meet new kids in the area, just like you! Min 6/Max 20 June Your child will explore the mechanics of movement as we investigate how things get from one place to another. We will be movement detectives as we gather data from our environment to discover how things move and experiment with how to make them move fast! July Water and sand... how do they feel? What happens when we make mixtures with them? How about solutions? Your child will be good and messy aer this sense-ational day at the "beach." Be sure to wear sunscreen and your swimsuit and bring a towel! August Summer days can sure be hot!! Why? Your child will enjoy getting hot and keeping ice cold as they become temperature detectives. What causes changes in temperature? What is effected by temperature change? Be sure to wear sunscreen and your swimsuit and bring a towel. Water will definitely be part of this science play day! Register early and don't miss the fun! If you wait too long, the class you want may be full.
