48 www.pdop.org Free Skate 1-3 Ages 6-18 Supervisor: Kayla Fauria Free Skate 1 Prerequisite: Participants must receive passing permission from Pre-Freeskate prior to entering this level. Building from the previous level, Free Skate 1 develops advanced forward stroking, basic forward outside and inside consecutive edges, advanced back outside three turns, scratch spin from back crossovers, waltz jump from back crossovers, and half flip. e first 10 minutes of class will be a warm-up and edge class. Free Skate 2 Prerequisite: Participants must receive passing permission from Free Skate 1 prior to entering this level. Building from the previous level, Free Skate 2 develops back outside and inside consecutive edges, forward outside and inside spirals, forward progressive chasse sequence, waltz threes, beginning back spin, waltz jump, side toe hop, waltz jump sequence, toe loop. e first 10 minutes of class will be a warm-up and edge class. Free Skate 3 Prerequisite: Participants must receive passing permission from Free Skate 2 prior to entering this level. Building from the previous level, Free Skate 3 develops forward and backward crossovers in figure 8, waltz 8, advanced forward consecutive swing rolls, backward inside three turn, backspin with free foot crossed, salchow, half lutz jump, waltz jump-toe loop combo, salchow-toe loop combo sequence. e first 10 minutes of class will be a warm-up and edge class. Min 4/Max 16 Free Skate 4-6 Ages 6-18 Supervisor: Kayla Fauria Free Skate 4/5 Prerequisite: Participants must receive passing permission from Free Skate 3 prior to entering this level. Building from the previous level, Free Skate 4 develops a spiral sequence, forward power three turns, backward progressive chasse sequence in a circle, sit spin, loop jump, waltz jump-loop jump combination. e first 10 minutes of class will be a warm-up and edge class. In order to promote the safest environment possible on the ice, all protective equipment is encouraged, especially wearing a safety helmet.
