See page 82. Try-it Wheel Throwing Supervisor: Amanda Heiman Want to give the wheel a try? Join us for an evening or aernoon of wheel techniques, discovery, and exploration as you experience the Park District's ceramic studio at Dole Center. Come ready to get messy and learn the basics. Please note there are no take home projects in this class, as it is purely an exploration workshop. Space is limited . . . sign up with friends today! Min 2/Max 3 Family Wheel Throwing Supervisor: Amanda Heiman Explore the use of the wheel and basic throwing techniques in a family-friendly class. Wheel practice will take place weekly in addition to learning the basics of glazing and pottery creation. Fee covers one child and one adult. Please note the studio only has 6 wheels; therefore space is limited . . . sign up today! When registering, please enroll your child ONLY. Min 4/Max 6 Class does not meet: 11/20 Family Ceramics Supervisor: Amanda Heiman In this class you and your child will explore a variety of hand building techniques in addition to trying your hands at the wheel! Projects vary from pinch pots to tiles, to sculptures to bowls . . . and more! Team up with your child and get creative Saturday mornings this fall. Dress ready for mess. Fee covers one child and one adult. Please note there are only 6 wheels in the studio; therefore, pending enrollment numbers, not all students will use the wheel each class Min 4/Max 10 Class does not meet: 11/25 Need more time to get your ceramics projects done? Come during designated Open Studio times, offered once a month for current students – no need to sign up, just stop on in Fridays, September 29, October 27, November 17, and December 15, 5:00-9:00P. After School Ceramics Supervisor: Amanda Heiman Spend your time aer school in the ceramics studio. Kids will learn hand building and glazing skills through specially designed projects with the opportunity to create and design their own masterpieces! An introduction to wheel use will also be demonstrated and practiced during class time. All skill levels welcome!
