Winter Break Camp
Arts Winter Break Camp (SCAW)
Supervisor: Amanda Heiman
is art camp is designed for students to explore
their creativity, meet new people, and gain
confidence. A new project medium will be
introduced each day. Students will create art
indoors and even out (weather permitting), during
their morning studio time. e morning will be
split into two different 50 minute workshops, all
exploring new ideas! Aer lunch campers will
engage in games, free choice, outdoor time, and
much . . . much . . . more! Sign up to get creative
with us in this camp!
Regular camp runs from 8:00A-3:00P
Extended care runs from 8:00A-6:00P

Ceramics Winter Break Camp
Supervisor: Amanda Heiman
Get out of the house this winter break and join us
in the studio. During this one week, half day camp,
participants will get to try wheel throwing as well
as experiment with coils and slabs. Never used a
potter's wheel? Well, this is the perfect time to try -
start planning your New Year's resolution to try new
things, today! Registration covers material costs.
Spots are limited.

Winter Adventure Camp
Supervisor: Leah Pryor
Spend your winter break discovering all of the
amazing outdoor winter adventures that Illinois
has to offer. Whether it's skating on ice, or sledding
down a hill you're sure to find your next favorite
snowy activity! Campers will go on 2 field trips
during this camp.

Circus Camp
Supervisor: Laura Greeley
is camp is designed for students to try their hand
at Circus. is is an introduction to the art with
a small showcase display of what we've learned
for parents on the last day. You will learn basic
tricks and stunts straight from the circus. Trapeze
and aerial silks will be taught. is is a unique
opportunity and a great way to improve strength
and coordination.

Chess Camp
Supervisor: Amanda Heiman
is camp is designed for both beginners and
experienced young players. All participants will
learn cool new strategies at the appropriate level
from a renowned Chess Scholars coach. Each class
will consist of a fun, interactive teaching period
and guided practice time. Children will have an
opportunity to test for a Chess Belt under a unique
Chess Scholars system patterned aer martial arts
belts. ere will also be a chess competition with
prizes! Each camper will take home a chess set and
an award. Please bring your own snacks.

Made Men Basketball Camp
Supervisor: Dan Schaffer
Made Men is an elite travel basketball program
founded by Oak Park native and current NBA
player, Iman Shupert. is winter camp for boys and
girls will feature detailed instruction on passing,
shooting, ball handling, defense and decision-
making. Campers will have the opportunity to learn
through drills as well as competitive game play.
Athletes of all skill levels are welcome.

Arctic Adventures Winter Camp
Supervisor: Leah Pryor
Don't let the cold weather keep you inside over
winter break; instead spend the week becoming an
arctic explorer! Join us for this one week camp to
learn all about snow and ice, how animals survive
the winter and spend some time outside! Your
arctic adventure is waiting for you! Be sure to pack
a water bottle and a peanut-free snack and lunch
with your camper as we need energy each day for
our adventures!

Jedi Engineering LEGO
®
Supervisor: Amanda Heiman
e Force Awakens in this introductory engineering
course for young Jedi! Explore engineering
principles by designing and building projects
using LEGO® materials such as X-Wings, R2 Units,
Energy Catapults, Defense Turrets, and Settlements
from a galaxy far, far away. Create motorized
and architectural projects with imagination and
engineering to defeat the Empire!

e Force Awakens in this advanced engineering
course for young Jedi! Discover key engineering
concepts such as gear trains, worm drives,
pneumatics, and eccentric motion. Build projects
using LEGO® materials such as X-Wings, AT-
AT walkers, Pod Racers, Star Destroyers, Cloud
Cities, Settlements, Fortresses, and other complex
machines and structures from a galaxy far, far away.
