23 www.pdop.org Mystery Trip Supervisor: Amanda Heiman We are "Announcing" another mystery day trip! We will leave by bus and travel back in time on this fun day trip. Here are three clues: 1. Some things are not just black and white; sometimes they are "read" all over. 2. "Listen" up we are going to learn a lot. 3. We will get a warm "reception" when we arrive. Transportation and lunch are included. Trip Start Time listed in chart: 1st Pick-up at Dole Center, 255 August Blvd 15 Minutes after listed start time: 2nd Pick-up at Oak Park Arms, 408 S. Oak Park Ave. 20 Minutes after listed start time: 3rd/Final Pick-up at Fox Center, 624 S. Oak Park Ave. Trip Departure Time: 5-10 minutes following the 3rd pick-up, once all trip attendees are checked in. Return Time The trip end time listed in the chart is not the return time to Oak Park, but departure time from the trip. For example if the trip ends at 3P, our trip departure time varies between 2:30-3P depending on trip location and travel time needed back to Oak Park. Therefore, please plan for up to an additional hour to return home. For example the trip that ends at 3P, may return to Oak Park between 3:30-4P. We can never predict Chicago traffic, so let's be prepared! More Detailed Trip Information Detailed information will be emailed out the week prior to the trip. You will receive a schedule for the day's events and additional information such as maps, menus, weather updates, pick-up time reminders, etc. If you do not have an email address, hard copies of the information will be provided to each attendee once you have checked in at your trip pick-up location. Special Accommodations If you require special accommodations, please connect with the program coordinator at least 2 weeks prior to the scheduled trip to ensure proper planning and reasonable accommodations can be made. May 10-12, 2018: Holland Tulip Festival in Michigan Tiptoe through the tulips with us next spring! e Tulip Time Festival is an annual event in Holland, Michigan – the center of Dutch culture in America. From reserved seats, see the Muziekparade featuring street scrubbers in Dutch costumes & wooden shoes, floats and bands. Enjoy a guided tour of Holland with its tulip-lined streets and authentic windmill. Marvel at the sight of acres and acres of blooming tulips at Veldheer Tulip Gardens with bulbs available for purchase. Witness artisans carving wooden shoes and creating Delware. Enjoy two shows! Other highlights: Gerald Ford Presidential Museum, Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park. Join us to see the colors of spring in Holland! June 27-29, 2018: Mississippi River Magic Delight in the beauty of the Mississippi River Valley on a full day, 100-mile cruise aboard the Celebration Belle. Cruise from Dubuque to Bettendorf while enjoying a full breakfast, lunch & prime rib dinner as well as narration by the captain, live entertainment, activities, travel through 3 locks & dams and views of majestic bluffs. Other tour highlights include: Lunch at Fried Green Tomatoes with free time in Galena and the new National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium in Dubuque. We'll also step back in time during a visit to charming Bishop Hill Colony, IL. is "prairie utopia" was established by industrious Swedish immigrants in the mid-1800's.
