Join us for this exploratory program for children 3-5 years old at the Austin Gardens Environmental Education Center! Children will climb, hop, jump, sing, and get muddy while exploring a different nature topic each week through cras, stories, songs and more! Sign up week by week or for the whole 9 week series! Min 4/Max 12 Doodle Like A Pro Supervisor: Barb Grooms Doodle impressive works of art while exploring the various ways the creative mind draws. Abstract thinking and creativity are all that is necessary for this basic drawing class. Min 5/Max 12 Art Assembly Supervisor: Barb Grooms Nature collection makes for great art projects! Interact with leaves, rocks, flowers, soil, and seeds to help develop the relationship between nature and art in this creative, project-based class. Samples may be provided by both the teacher and students. Min 5/Max 12 Tailor Your Skills Supervisor: Barb Grooms Become your own tailor as we explore the fine motor skills of sewing, knitting, jewelry making, crocheting, embroidery and more. is class will provide your child the opportunity to be their own creator and designer with activities including making stuffed animals. Techniques and tools that necessary for your child to develop sharper motor skills will be covered with a creative approach. Min 5/Max 12 Pizza, Project & Play Supervisor: Barb Grooms Enjoy a Friday by letting us entertain your children at our Indoor Playground. Each themed evening will include a pizza dinner, a fun take-home project, and play time with friends . . . while you get some much deserved time to yourself; don't miss out on the fun for both guardians and kids. Min 8/Max 16 Dinosaur Explore Supervisor: Barb Grooms Dig into dinosaur facts. Carnivore or herbivore? Biped or quadruped? Jurassic or Cretaceous? In this class we listen to stories, play games, and create dino-art projects. Participants will record their research as they make their own dinosaur fact books to take home and read to their families. All junior paleontologists welcome! Min 6/Max 10 Parents are a child's first teacher. The Collaboration for Early Childhood provides resources and connections vital to every child's opportunity for success in learning and in life.
