It promotes physical fitness and improved balance and coordination while teaching proper skating techniques. is level introduces skating by developing falling and recovery, forward marching, forward glides and forward swizzles, snowplow stops, two foot turns and gliding into dips. Min 4/Max 10 Adult Hockey - Beginner Supervisor: Kayla Fauria Provides an unintimidating environment for adults to give hockey a try. Skills to be learned include skating basics: crossovers and stopping, stick handling, passing, shooting. e laidback atmosphere and constructive coaching will make this class fun while focusing on building new skills on the ice. Equipment required: skates, shin pads, hockey pants, elbow pads, gloves, helmet, and stick Min 6/Max 30 Adult Hockey - Level 1 Supervisor: Kayla Fauria Provides a combination of skill development and game play. Geared towards novice and intermediate players, each week will feature half coach led drills to improve players' ability and half scrimmage which will improve player's hockey sense. Equipment required. Players will receive a jersey. Min 10/Max 60 Adult Hockey - Level 2 Supervisor: Kayla Fauria is league prides itself on parity so that games are consistently competitive. ere is no instruction in this program. Games consist of three running time periods each 20 minutes in length. Equipment required, players will receive a jersey. e league reserves the right to move players from team to team to ensure equality both in skill level and number of players per team. Min 8/Max 15 find OUR youth hockey/skating ON PAGes 48-55. Arctic Foxes 3-on-3 Women's League New in April 2018, the Park District of Oak Park will be offering a Spring 3-on-3 Women's League at Ridgeland Common! Skaters must be 18 years or older to participate in this registered program. Drop in rates are not available. Registration begins March 31! Use code 219614-01 for skaters, 219614-02 for goalies!
