Tina graduated with a master's of divinity in 2012 and is currently the pastoral associate in the Archdiocese of Chicago. Initially, Tina was fascinated by Pleasant Home's construction techniques and wanted to find out more about the home. She feels the museum is unique because the house stands on its own merits rather than that of a well- known home owner or architect. After 18 years she's seen visitors "come alive" while touring the home. The library is Tina's favorite room in Pleasant Home. She particularly loves the decoration and paint colors as well as the big, curved windows. Her favorite Pleasant Home experience is volunteering at the evening Twilight Tours, where guests experience the home in a relaxed and intimate atmosphere. Tina loves traveling to Ireland and enjoys seeking out house museums there as well. She feels Pleasant Home is important because it is a link to an era in the U.S. and Oak Park when things were changing technologically and socially, and changed even faster during the Mills family's time. Tina feels the Pleasant Home Foundation is a good example of a small, closely knit organization that achieves its purpose.
