Students learn how to punch, block and use boxing combinations depending on skill level achieved. Students become more physically fit and learn whole body coordination. Students must bring their own boxing gloves. Min 8/Max 16 Adult Fencing Supervisor: Chad Drue En garde! Diana Unger, a certified coach with the United States Fencing Association and more than 25 years experience, will teach you the basics of fencing. Fencing requires patience, concentration, discipline, and self-awareness. Self-confidence, self-control, and emotional strength gained from this sport will lead to a healthier lifestyle. Weapons, jackets, and masks will be provided and shared among classmates. Participants need to bring a glove for the hand that they write with. Participants must obtain a $10 U.S. Fencing Membership prior to the first day of class. Min 4/Max 10 Adult Gymnastics Supervisor: Jamie Lapke is is a co-ed instructional class for adults who are interested in learning gymnastics or maintaining their gymnastics skills. Time will be spent on gymnastics equipment as well as strength training and stretching. Classes are 1 hour 20 minutes. Regular gymnastics cancellation policy applies. Participants must be 18 years of age by January 13, 2019 to be eligible for this class. Min 4/Max 10 Adult Warriors Supervisor: Chad Drue Working off an integrated curriculum/structure, this class is appropriate for the beginner and advanced participant. It's all about progression in each obstacle and each individual putting themselves to the test week aer week. Class will include some of our beginner, intermediate and also some of our most challenging obstacles aimed at building both strength, balance and agility. Class will typically include 3 circuits with 5-8 stations (obstacles) per circuit. Each 55-minute class is based on a continually evolving lesson plan and set of obstacles and circuits aimed at providing a foundation of strength, agility, and balance. e classes will be structured and very active. You will not stop moving and leave both challenged and proud! Our mission is to have all grow in perseverance, athleticism and confidence... AND HAVE FUN DOING IT! e program will take place at Windy City Ninja located at 684 W. Lake Street, Elmhurst, IL 60126. Min 5/Max 24 Adult Figure Skating-Beginner Supervisor: Kayla Fauria is beginner class is designed for the adult new to skating. It promotes physical fitness and improved balance and coordination while teaching proper skating techniques. is level introduces skating by developing falling and recovery, forward marching, forward glides and forward swizzles, snowplow stops, two foot turns and gliding into dips. Min 4/Max 10 Adult Figure Skating- Intermediate Supervisor: Kayla Fauria Adult skating is for people looking to skate as part of a fit and healthy lifestyle. Adult Intermediate skating builds from the previous level by developing stroking, swizzles, swizzle pumps, one foot glides, slalom, chasses, edges, crossovers, 2-foot spin, 3-turns, pivots and swing rolls. Min 4/Max 10 Adult Figure Skating-Advanced Supervisor: Kayla Fauria Adult Advanced continues the skill progression from the previous level by developing figure 8 crossovers, edge changes, t-stop, chasse sequence, one foot spin, mohawk, stroking patterns, crossovers to edge glides, lunge, spiral, half jumps, waltz jump, salchow, toe loop jumps and footwork sequence. Min 4/Max 10
