Founded in 1935 by Dr. Max orek, the International Museum of Surgical Science opened with the goal of promoting surgical knowledge worldwide. Since then, the museum has grown to encompass a historic lakeside mansion and an array of historically significant surgical instrumentation, artworks, manuscripts. e museum continues work to conserve its noteworthy collections and historic landmark building. Walk with us through four floors filled with extraordinary artifacts that interpret the prehistoric through contemporary healing practices. Transportation included.
