This event is open to boys and girls from ages 7 to 14. Waves will be based on both age and gender. Girl-Powered Stem Challenge with LEGO ® Supervisor: Megan Ulczak A Play-Well offering for girls who love to build! is course will provide a supportive environment for girls to build engineer-designed projects such as catapults, pneumatic cranes, arch bridges, and battletracks! Design and build as never before, and explore your craziest ideas in a supportive environment. An experienced instructor will challenge new and returning students to engineer at the next level. May the 4th Be with You Supervisor: Leah Pryor & Megan Ulczak Drop your kids off at this fun Star Wars-inspired event. We will watch the movie, eat pizza, do some star wars inspired cras and even look to the stars! Send them in their best Star Wars-inspired costume! Min 8/Max 24 Jewelry Making Supervisor: Megan Ulczak Wearable art is the best kind of art! Join us as we play with a variety of material to create wonderful pieces for your collection. Learn about crimp beads and jump rings, acrylic string and stretchy string, earring hooks, and necklace clasps. Min 6/Max 12 Sewing Supervisor: Megan Ulczak Sewing is not only fun it is also a helpful "life" skill. Come along as we play with hand sewing as well as the sewing machine. In this 5-class course, your instructor will introduce the materials and tools used as well as show you the basics of sewing. All material will be provided but feel free to bring in anything you might wish to use on a project. All skill levels are welcome, no experience necessary. Min 5/Max 12 Class does not meet: 5/12 Magic Class Supervisor: Megan Ulczak Children are guaranteed to have a great time as they learn fascinating tricks from professional magician, Gary Kantor. Amaze family and friends with tricks that involve cards, ropes, coins, mind-reading and more. While the tricks may appear difficult, you'll discover that they are quick to learn and easy to perform. All materials are provided, and each child receives a magic kit to take home. Children are grouped by age and will learn tricks that are age-appropriate. Additionally, you can sign up for this class again and again since brand new tricks are taught each session! Min 5/Max 35 Playing with Watercolors Supervisor: Megan Ulczak A day off of school is the perfect time to get creativity! Join us as we play with a little watercolor paint! Learn some fun tricks and play with a variety of tools to create cool texture, patterns, and more. All skill levels welcome.
