longest day of the year. Enjoy the greenhouse and
gardens while sipping on wine. A delicious summer
lunch will be served followed by music, games, and
socializing. Every guest will leave with a beautiful
summer plant to brighten up your home!

Sizzling Summer Dance at
Cheney Mansion

Step out for hot nights of summer dance at Cheney
Mansion. Join us the third Friday of the month from
June through August for both instruction and open
dancing on the patio at Cheney Mansion. Don't
worry about rain, we will just move your dancing
feet indoors! You will work up an appetite, so we
will have tasty appetizers and your registration
includes 2 drink tickets. Non- alcoholic beverages
will also be available.

Spend a relaxing evening learning about the plants
behind many of the spirits and cocktails you enjoy!
Discover how things like potatoes and sugar cane
are turned in to alcohol then finish with a tasting!

Sunday Funday Yoga Brunch

Start your Sunday relaxing at Cheney Mansion with
an all levels, one-hour yoga practice on the grounds
of Cheney with one of the Park District's expert
instructors. As a reward, enjoy and socialize with
your fellow classmates during a lovely brunch on
the patio at Cheney Mansion, weather permitting.
In the event of rain, yoga and brunch will take place
inside Cheney Mansion. Delicious, yet healthy
savories and just enough sweet not to make you feel
guilty! Two drink tickets included.

Basic Butchering Know How
Supervisor: Susan Crane
Come to Cheney Mansion and meet the team from
Carnivore Oak Park for a lesson in basic butchering.
Learn about carving a turkey or chicken, cutting
up a whole chicken, de-boning, butterflying and
understanding different cuts of meat, poultry and
fish. You will be able to taste samplings of products
expertly and simply prepared by you and the experts
from Carnivore. Bring along a beverage to sip and
enjoy while tasting.

Join us for this introductory cheese making class!
Learn the basics of cheese making while having a
go at making your own. Test out 3 different ways to
make ricotta and learn a few other quick and easy
recipes. Finish the evening by tasting your creations!
