Players are encouraged to develop their skills and progress to higher levels of play throughout the playing season. Please bring your own racquet. Please use the provided guidelines to determine your skill level when signing up for a session. Min 6/Max 10 Beginner Guidelines Never played before or played some during youth or as adult recreationally. Some success rallying ball back and forth, but would like to develop more shot quality. Would like a firm understanding of stroke technique production and footwork. Intermediate Guidelines Can rally successfully, but still desires more ball control and better movement. Aware of different stroke types, but needs correction and/or practice in some areas. Aware of covering court spaces, but unable to exploit opponents' weaknesses. Advanced Guidelines Has shot depth and can put pace on the ball, and has overall ball control. Covers court well and can exploit opponents' weaknesses. Developing match toughness, winning strategies and conditioning. Adult Skateboarding Supervisor: Dan Schaffer is class is designed for adults who want to brush-up on old skills, learn new tricks, or start from scratch. And it's a chance for parents of skateboarders to find out why your children love skateboarding so much. Because skateboarding is an individual sport, participants will learn at their own pace with the help of experienced instructors who will give plenty of tips and pointers. Participants must provide their own helmet and skateboard. e skate park will be closed to the public during skateboarding lessons. Min 3/Max 4 Golf Lessons Supervisor: Chad Drue ere is no better way to improve your game than taking lessons from a trained golf instructor. Group instruction is an excellent way to receive the essential information on not only how to swing but how to putt, chip, and play the game better! Whether you're picking up a club for the first time or looking to reduce your handicap to single digits, make a great investment and take a lesson from a professional. Each class will have a 6-to-1 ratio of students to instructor, and lessons focus weekly on proper grip and posture, putting, full swing, and chipping. Held at e Learning Center, Fresh Meadow Golf Club, 11302 Cermak Road in Hillside. Min 4/Max 20 Fall Co-ed Volleyball League Supervisor: Chad Drue Competitive volleyball is back! Six teams rotate and play two matches a night using two nets. e teams waiting in rotation must score, officiate and record the games in play. Ten (10) week regular season games plus playoffs. Min 4/Max 6 Archery Supervisor: Leah Pryor Interested in shooting a bow & arrow? Sign up with our certified archery instructors who will encourage and coach all ages and levels! Stance, nocking and anchoring are just a few terms and skills that will be covered. Class takes place outdoors, so please dress accordingly! Min 8/Max 16
