Min 6/Max 12 Fall Obsession Cooking at Cheney! Supervisor: Susan Crane Chef Daniel Vogel from Food Obsession and Obsessed Kitchen and Bar is back this fall. Chef Vogel will guide you through hands-on instruction in each class on proper technique and fresh ingredients to produce a great sampling based on each class theme. Taste your final dishes in the Cheney dining room and bring along your favorite beverage along with a final Q&A with Chef Vogel. Min 8/Max 12 Chef's Harvest Meal Supervisor: Susan Crane September is harvest time and farms are at their peak of production! Join us at Cheney Mansion as Chef Daniel Vogel from Food Obsession and Obsessed Kitchen and Bar presents a three-course tasting menu, utilizing all the freshness from local farmers. is meal will showcase peak flavors and techniques for preparation to get the most from the freshest ingredients. Wine tastings that pair deliciously with each course will also be included in your registration. Min 20/Max 50 Wine, Dine and Dance! Supervisor: Susan Crane Step out at Cheney Mansion for an evening of dining and dancing with your favorite dance partner! Appetizers, beer and wine will be provided followed by lively dancing guided by Park District dance instructors and a DJ spinning your through the evening. No dance experience is necessary! Min 6/Max 25 Cider and Botany Supervisor: Leah Pryor Dig into the botany of apple trees, learn how hard cider is made from apple to glass and drink your way through a tasting of several alcoholic varieties. Min 6/Max 20 Cheney Mansion Hauntings Supervisor: Susan Crane Do you believe Cheney Mansion is haunted? Have you heard rumors of strange things happening here? Join us for an evening of answering some of these questions with paranormal expert Jason Sherman. Your registration begins with appetizers and 2 drink tickets as you gather at Cheney Mansion and meet Jason. He will then lead you through an education of the type of equipment he uses in his events. From there, you will tour Cheney with Jason as he demonstrates and uses his equipment and senses, to see if any of these rumors are true or least who may still be residing at Cheney Mansion. Min 12/Max 75 Haunted Trolley Supervisor: Leah Pryor, Susan Crane & Patti Staley Do you have what it takes to solve this Park District who-done-it? Find clues at each stop and work your way through this murderous mystery. Did Miss Apple use the rope at the conservatory? Or was it Professor Peach with the candlestick in the dining room? Join us for a fun night of sipping and solving. Start your evening with small bites at the Conservatory, enjoy dinner at Cheney Mansion and finish the evening at Austin Gardens. Costumes encouraged!
