To celebrate Columbus Day, join representatives
from Maya Del Sol and Cheney Mansion for this
celebration of the wine region of Spain. Discover
the different regions of Spain and the types of
wines produced. Sample a variety of wines from
light and airy Albarino building, to rich and hearty
Tempranillos and finish with the bubbles of a Cava.
Light food pairings from Maya Del Sol will be
included. You will learn why these wines are some
of the best kept secrets in taste and value.

Spend a relaxing evening learning about wine. Dig
into the botany of grape plants, learn how wine is
made from plant to glass and sip your way through
a tasting of several varieties.

turkey, ham or roast beef ? Join us for a tasting of a
variety of wines to serve for your parties and family
meals for the upcoming holidays. From light whites

offerings for your table. Light appetizers will be
provided to match with your tastings.

Do you always struggle to decide what to give as
gis around the Holidays? Instead of spending
hours at the store, spend a night making your own
gis! Sip on some cider or cocoa, as you make
one-of-a-kind gis that will surely be loved by all.
Each participant will make four gis to take home.

with a one-hour yoga practice for all levels on the
grounds of Cheney with one of the Park District's
expert instructors. As a reward, enjoy and socialize
with your fellow classmates during a lovely brunch
on the patio at Cheney Mansion. is program is
weather permitting. In the event of rain, yoga and
brunch will take place inside Cheney Mansion.
