Want to learn how to make some yourself ? Sign up for Kids Can Cook! Preparing a delicious meal is both an art and a life skill. In this class, you will learn recipes from around the world for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and all the in between. Students will leave each class with a meal and the instruction to make it at home, yum! All skill levels welcome. Min 6/Max 8 Let's Build It Supervisor: Megan Ulczak Design and build! Explore engineering through a series of exciting and dynamic lessons. Students will learn about mechanical engineering. A variety of topics will be covered including gear ratios, electricity, rotation, friction, and force. is course gives students an inviting and fun environment. No previous experience is necessary; both new and returning participants are welcome! Each participant will receive an award on the last day of the session, and will have the opportunity to earn Energy Belts by demonstrating their learned skills. Min 15/Max 30 Archery Supervisor: Leah Pryor Interested in shooting a bow & arrow? Sign up with our certified archery instructors who will encourage and coach all ages and levels! Stance, nocking and anchoring are just a few terms and skills that will be covered. Class takes place outdoors so please dress accordingly! Min 8/Max 16 Chess Scholars Supervisor: Megan Ulczak No previous knowledge of chess is necessary: players of all levels are welcome. Each class will consist of a fun interactive teaching period and guided practice time. Both new and returning participants will get to the next level under the guidance of an experienced Chess Scholars coach. Children will have an opportunity to test for a Chess Belt under a unique Chess Scholars system patterned aer martial arts belts. ere will also be a chess competition with prizes at the end of the session! Min 6/Max 20 INTER-GENERATIONAL PROGRAMS are open to both children and adults. Register on your own or sign up with a grandparent, nanny, neighbor, friend, etc. See pages 29-31 for these programs.
