Skills to be learned include skating basics like crossovers and stopping, as well as stick handling, passing, and shooting. e laidback atmosphere and constructive coaching will make this class fun while focusing on building new skills on the ice. Geared towards novice and intermediate players, each week will feature half coach-led drills to improve players' ability and half scrimmage which will improve players' hockey sense. Players will be divided into two teams in the first week of the class. Sign-up with a group of friends or meet new people! is program focuses on meeting the needs of players based on skill level by ensuring that players get instruction as well as self-guided practice time. League rules include no checking, no slap shots, and a zero tolerance policy for unsportsmanlike conduct. Players in this program should have experience playing hockey as there is no instruction in this program. Games consist of three running time periods, each 20 minutes in length. Full equipment is required for this program. Players will receive a jersey the first week, if one hasn't already been provided. e league reserves the right to move players from team to team to ensure equality both in skill level and number of players per team. It promotes physical fitness and improved balance and coordination while teaching proper skating techniques. is level introduces skating by developing falling and recovery, forward marching, forward glides and forward swizzles, snowplow stops, two foot turns and gliding into dips. Adult intermediate skating builds from the previous level by developing stroking, swizzles, swizzle pumps, one foot glides, slalom, chasses, edges, crossovers, 2-foot spin, 3-turns, pivots and swing rolls. Supervisor: Bryce Miller Adult Skating Advanced Adult Advanced Skating continues the skill progression from the previous level by developing figure 8 crossovers, edge changes, t-stop, chasse sequence, one-foot spin, mohawk, stroking patterns, crossovers to edge glides, lunge, spiral, half jumps, waltz jump, salchow, toe loop jumps and footwork sequence.
