Skills to be learned include skating basics like crossovers and stopping, as well as stick handling, passing, and shooting. e laidback atmosphere and constructive coaching will make this class fun while focusing on building new skills on the ice. Meet new people or join with friends and spend your Friday nights on the ice! Equipment required: skates, shin pads, hockey pants, elbow pads, gloves, helmet, stick Supervisor: Bryce Miller Class does not meet: 3/13 Adult Skating Beginner For those adults beginning to skate or for those that are more advanced, this class will help you learn falling and recovery; on ice, forward marching, forward two-foot glide, forward swizzles (4-6 in a row), one forward swizzle-one backward swizzle (rocking horse), dip, forward snowplow stop – two feet or one foot. Adult intermediate will learn forward skating across the width of the ice, forward one-foot glides, r and l, forward slalom, backward skating, backward swizzles (4-6 in a row), two-foot turns in place. Supervisor: Bryce Miller Adult Skating Intermediate Adult skating is for people looking to skate as part of a fit and healthy lifestyle. Adult intermediate skating builds from the previous level by developing stroking, swizzles, swizzle pumps, one foot glides, slalom, chasses, edges, crossovers, 2-foot spin, 3-turns, pivots and swing rolls. Supervisor: Bryce Miller Adult Skating Advanced Adult Advanced continues the skill progression from the previous level by developing figure 8 crossovers, edge changes, t-stop, chasse sequence, one foot spin, mohawk, stroking patterns, crossovers to edge glides, lunge, spiral, half jumps, waltz jump, salchow, toe loop jumps and footwork sequence. Supervisor: Bryce Miller Rink passholders will receive $5 off Spring 2020 skating and hockey classes.
