35 www.pdop.org Awesome Adventure Robotics Monday, Apr 5-May 10, 6:30-7:30P Snapology's Awesome Adventures introduces students to the technical world of robotics. Students will work in teams to create interactive and mechanical models inspired by adventures. Your child will build robotic giants, sports models, planes, and boats to explore different mechanisms such as tilt and motion sensors, motors, and computer soware. ese mechanisms will bring their creation to life, all while having fun and learning important social and technical skills. Ages 6-12 Res Fee $101- Fee $121 Location: Andersen Center Min 5/Max 10 Supervisor: Megan Ulczak Chess Scholars Tuesdays, Apr 6-May 11, 6:30-7:30P No previous knowledge of chess is necessary: players of all levels are welcome. Consists of fun interactive teaching period/guided practice time. Participants will get to the next level under the guidance of an experienced Chess Scholars coach. Participants can test for a Chess Belt under a unique Chess Scholars system patterned aer martial arts belts. Chess competition with prizes at the end of the session! If so, they're going to love Snapology's Basic Engineers program! is program gives your student the tools they need to understand mechanical movement and the importance of simple machines. ey will see these moving parts up-close as they follow instructions to build various machines and then use the basic models to develop more elaborate, creative designs with their partners and teams. Whether they are the creative-constructive type or prefer the inquisitive-deconstructive way of learning, this program is sure to spark their engineering interests!
