44 www.pdop.org youth sports 6-Week Programs Chicago Fire FC After-School Soccer Chicago Fire Football Club offers a safe, inclusive and developmentally focused soccer program led by experienced and certified soccer coaches. e program follows an age-appropriate, grass-root soccer curriculum and adheres to all state and health guidelines to allow our players and families to participate with confidence. Supervisor: Chad Drue Chicago Edge Juniors Program Introducing our Chicago Edge JUNIORS program, aimed at creating the next generation of young soccer players in the Oak Park/River Forest community. e Edge Juniors program is a fun soccer program for young players ages 4-8 years old and is aimed at developing the fundamental skills of soccer in a fun and dynamic environment. Coached by the professional soccer coaches at Chicago Edge Soccer Club, one of Oak Park's youth travel soccer clubs. Participants will also receive a unique jersey for their particular team! Practice time and teammate requests cannot be honored. Games and practices will be for one hour between 9:00A-4:00P on Saturdays. Depending on the number of teams and players will determine how many time slots there will be. Your time slot will vary from week to week. Schedules will come out prior to the start of the league. Volunteer coaches are needed to coach the teams. Supervisor: Ryan London Spring T-Ball League (Ages 3-5) Looking to develop your baseball skills? is league will teach participants the basics of throwing, hitting, running, and fielding. e first few weeks are practice only with the remaining weeks consisting of a brief warm-up followed by a game. Games/practices will be for one hour between 5:30-7:30P. e number of teams and players will determine how many time slots will be used. Your time slot will vary from week to week. Schedule will come out prior to the start of the league. ere are no player requests in this league. Participants will receive a unique jersey for their particular team! No scores are kept during the league as this is a non-competitive league for young children, emphasizing teamwork and the importance of working on the FUNdamentals!
