shared images, you can learn to screen print a

Words are power. Like art, they allow an artist to
express the internal, communicating thoughts and
emotions. In this lesson, students will create, with
words, a drawing of a place that holds significance
to them. Students will reflect on why this place
is special, focusing on emotive and physically
descriptive words. Ages 8+

e custom of sending greeting cards can be traced
back to Asia and early Egyptians who conveyed their
greetings on papaya scrolls. In this workshop, each
participant will create ten handmade 5x4 folded
greeting cards for any occasion. Decorating methods
such as ink stamp designs, heat-set embossing,
speciality scissors, and punch tools will give your
cards an element of dimension. A variety of hand-
marbled paper and origami paper will be available for
collage techniques. Ages 8+

Hand Sewn Rag Dolls

Using stencils, fabric, buttons, and yarn to build your
very own rag doll. Participants can incorporate fabric
markets, google eyes, and a variety of other supplies
to finish their piece. Ages 8+

Wood Burning

Learn how to use a wood burning tool to make
awesome designs, signs, art and more on wood!
Participants will learn about the tool and accessories
and have time to create their own pieces. Paint can
also be used to add some extra flare to your work.
Participants can take their tools home with them.
