treasure!? Awake your inner pirate and go geocaching
with our friends at the Dupage County Forest
Preserves – but remember, geocaching is a secret

Maple Sugaring Monday

e snow is thawing, the sap is flowing, and it's time
for an annual favorite treat – maple syrup! We'll be
visiting the Forest Preserves of Cook County to
learn all about maple sugaring, or the process of
turning tree sap into syrup! Tasting will be available,
and we can hike aer lunch! Ages 10-18

Taste of the Wild

Are you ready for an adventure for your taste buds?
Join us at Plum Creek Nature Center to learn how to
safely identify wild plants for a backwoods snack!
We'll kick off our spring break by hiking through
different habitats, learning how different plants
survive, and enjoying a day out in nature.

FAMILY FALL SPECIAL EVENTS
Oak Park Family Campout
Saturday, Sep 24-25
Get an introduction to camping at a site close to
home! Start the evening with a campfire dinner,
search the stars with a telescope, listen to stories
around the fire, enjoy breakfast in the morning,
and more! Fee is for two people with one tent, and
includes dinner, s'mores and breakfast. Don't own
your own tent? A limited number are available for
rental. All Ages

Spooky Stroll
Friday, Oct 14, 6:30-9:00P
Spend the evening strolling through the spooky
setting of Austin Gardens, decorate your own
pumpkin, get your face painted, and finish the
evening with a magic show! Halloween costumes
encouraged. Each person attending must be
registered. All Ages
