Guests will enjoy more than 80 visual and educational exhibits featuring holograms, tereograms, optical illusions, and immersive rooms designed to tease the senses and trick the mind. is is a combination trip with the Active Adults and their Program Supervisor. Pack a lunch to enjoy in Millennium Park or swing by a local restaurant for a bite. Each registration covers one grandchild and one grandparent. Put on by the Midwest SOARRING Foundation, this event shares culture through dance, art, drumming, and storytelling. Bring your own lunch, or try native food at one of the vendor booths! We have the Elgin Public Museum all to ourselves to play a variety of Native American games, use historic artifacts, and even see some real bison! Prescribed burns are a way for ecologists to help grasslands and prairies continue to grow without wildfires, and we get to dive into the process! Explore the equipment that burn crews use, and how the weather affects when they can actually use them to burn things for science – weather permitting, we can assist, too! Today's mission is the Adler Planetarium, where we'll explore space and watch a show in the dome theatre! Come see the seals, polar bears, and snow monkeys live their best lives out in the cold, and then warm up at some of the indoor exhibits!
