APRIL weekends Garden Stones Friday, Apr 21, 6:00-8:00P Decorate your garden or your yard with some Indigenous Australian inspired dot painted rocks. Create colorful and textural patterns using enamel paint and wooden dowels. Each person can complete three stones. Ages 10+ Res Fee $18 - Fee $23 Location: Dole Center - Studio 3 Earth Day Seed Art Saturday, Apr 22, 10:00A-12:00P Paint with seeds in this nature-based artwork. Each participant will get a collection of native seeds to use as their "painting" supply. Finished pieces can be enjoyed before burying in the ground. Creative fun designs and flowing lines like Queen Elizabeth did using paper and glue. Ages 7+ Res Fee $10 - Fee $15 Location: Dole Center - Studio 3 Bunny Door/Wall Hang Friday, Apr 28, 6:00-8:00P Celebrate spring with a sweet little bunny you can hang anywhere you'd like. is 3D design will be framed with cardboard and built using paper mâché techniques. Once dry, this piece can be painted or covered in patterned paper, glitter, or other embellishments. Ages 12+ Res Fee $25 - Fee $30 Location: Dole Center - Studio 3 Garden Mosaics Saturday, Apr 29, 10:00A-12:00P While you wait for your plants to come back this year, add some year-round color with a plaster and glass garden mosaic. Use plastic molds and colored glass pieces set in plaster to form mosaic plates to place in your garden at home. ese can also be hung on a fence or used inside. Add ribbon and a variety of foliage to create the ultimate accessory to welcome spring. One crown per person. Ages 10+ Res Fee $18 - Fee $23 Location: Dole Center - Studio 3 MAY weekends Batik Floral Paintings Saturday, May 20, 10:00A-12:00P Batik is the art of using wax and inks/watercolors on paper or fabric. e wax resists the ink and water color creating a bold contrast between line and color. In this 2-hour class, use melted wax in a variety of colors and watercolor paints on thick paper, craing a vivid piece of art. Ages 10+ Res Fee $18 - Fee $23 Location: Dole Center - Studio 3 Imagined Plants Sunday, May 21, 1:00-3:00P With inspiration from Dr. Seuss, create a new plant "species" and imagine its importance within an ecosystem. ese small assemblage sculptures can illustrate the physical properties of existing plants or be entirely new creations. Friday, May 26, 6:00-8:00P Inspired by our favorite pop artists like Warhol, Johns, and Lichtenstein, participants will take preprinted images of well-known products, shapes, or images and color them using pop art techniques to create the iconic style.
