Toad Abode Workshop

On these hot summer days, amphibians like frogs and
toads need a place to cool off ! Today we're making
terra cotta toad houses. ey'll provide our cold-
blooded pals a place to hide from the sun so they can
relax before eating our garden pests! All materials

for our birds, butterflies, and bees? More than you'd
think! For National Pollinator Week, we're talking
about how to help native species while living in small
spaces. A porch, balcony, or even just a window is all

We're lighting up the campfire and getting our s'mores
sticks ready! Join us in learning campfire safety and

Plastic-free July Workshop

We're participating in a global effort to try and reduce
plastic pollution! Even if we can't go completely
plastic-free this July, join us in learning how to reduce
your consumption throughout the year. Plus, make
your own reusable shopping bags using recycled
materials. Ages 7+

The History of S'mores

It's summertime, we're cooking over the fire
and wondering: Where did these delicious,
marshmallow-y treats come from, anyway? ey're
actually more than 100 years old! We're making our
own s'mores today and learning this history of the
campfire classic. Ages 7+

Cyanotypes & Anna Atkins

Cyanotype is a type of chemical printing dating back
to the 1800s; Anna Atkins was the first person to
use it for scientific purposes by making beautiful
blue prints of algae and ferns. We're making our own
cyanotypes today of native plants and learning all
about this brilliant female botanist. Ages 7+

Stories of the Stars

Space – the final frontier. Before we knew what went
on in our solar system, people used the stars to tell
stories and myths that we still know today. Join us for
a telescope stargazing session and listen to the stories
these constellations tell. Ages 7+

Bee & Butterfly Waterer

Today, we're making puddlers – a water source for
our pollinator insects perfect for backyards and even
apartment balconies. It gives them a place to rest
their legs – and wings! – and take a nice long sip in
the summer heat. All materials provided.
