Cheney Mansion, reminiscent of a gracious English
country home, was designed by Charles E. White, Jr.
in 1913. is 12,000-square-foot mansion, owned
and operated by the Park District, provides a unique
locale for community events and programs.

SPECIAL EVENT RENTALS
e Mansion boasts many handsome reception
rooms, six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, and separate
servants' quarters. e 2.2 acres of beautifully
landscaped grounds feature a greenhouse as well
as a community garden with a woodland walk and
waterfall fountain, and an expansive lawn for picnics
and private functions.

Enjoy two of the most popular dance styles in the
world while moving to music that ranges from Elvis
to Motown, Santana to Marc Anthony and beyond.

Latin Sampler
Get your Latin groove on and dance to the sizzling
tropical rhythms of Salsa, Cha Cha, Bachata and
Merengue. It is great fun and great exercise all rolled

Cooking Around the World!

Join Chef Tara Humphrey of Global Peel for a culinary
and cultural tour around the world through food.
In April, let's learn to make the dumplings from
China! Learn the difference between bao, potstickers,
steamed, boiled and fried. We'll make slews of
fillings and sauces for dipping. In May, let's learn the
exquisite culinary flavors of Ethiopia. We will feast
on the flavors of a variety of Wats, Ethiopian stews.
Lentil, Doro, and Shiro, served with injera (made in
class) and accompanied with fresh spring salads. We
will make our own Berbere spice to take home. Bring
along your favorite beverage to sip or Tara will send
suggested menu pairings the week of each session.

on the Trolley!

Do you have what it takes to solve this Park District
whodunit as you wind your way through clues and
Park District locations? Find clues at each stop and
work your way through this murderous mystery. Did
Dr. Digger use the rope at the Conservatory? Or was
it Mr. Manor with the candlestick in the kitchen at
Cheney? Join us for a fun night of sipping, easting
and solving. Start your evening with small bites at
the Conservatory, enjoy dinner at Cheney Mansion
and finish the evening at Austin Gardens. Costumes
encouraged! Ticket includes food and drink tickets
