CAMP BEGINS ON A WEDNESDAY!
Intro to Choreography (Grades 4-7)
Learn the basics of choreography. They will use this
knowledge to transform their ideas into movement
and finally into a choreographed dance. The dance
will consist of several sections of choreography they
develop throughout the weeks. Students will explore
how to develop movements that reflect an idea,
arrange movement phrases and dancers in space and
time and how to develop a dance that goes beyond
just stringing together movements. Dance basics of
ballet, jazz, and hip-hop will be taught.
Multimedia Sculpture (Grades 4-7)
Explore the realm of 3D. Utilizing household items
and traditional artist materials students will get
their creative juices flowing as they transform these
materials into 3-dimensional masterpieces.
Paint & Draw (Grades 1-3)
Children will explore the use of a variety of differ-
ent materials and techniques while learning the
fundamentals of painting and drawing. Students
will be encouraged to use their creativity to produce a
multitude of different types of projects.
Printmaking (Grades 4-7)
From monotype to multiples, we will learn different
printmaking techniques and terminology as we pull
prints. For this program students must be mature and
responsible for this program as we use sharp tools to
create our prints.
Science Creations (Grades 4-7)
From silk screening to paints to charocoal to chalk
and more; students will create mediums from scratch
to design original artwork. Students will also learn
the history of mediums over the decades and how
historical art work is maintained and restored.
Theater (Grades 1-3)
Young actors will perform a narrated story that they
create throughout the session. Daily lessons include
fun theater games, exploring emotions on stage,
basic stage directions, use of props, and more.
Theater Concepts (Grades 4-7)
Sharpen your wit and improvisation skills with fun
and exciting theater games. Participants will also
spend time writing and creating theatrical characters,
mini-skits, and a final performance.
