78 A Historic Property of the Park District of Oak Park Tours of the Conservatory Join us for tours of the Conservatory led by trained docents. Learn about the flora and fauna in our Fern, Tropical and Desert showrooms, and our changing seasonal displays. Second Sunday Tours 1:30-2:30pm, second Sunday of each month, September through March $5/Adult, $3/Senior, $2/Child To register, call (708)725-2400. Group Tours Group tours are available for children and/or adults. Please complete your tour application at www. oakparkconservatory.org Plant Clinic Come in to our plant clinic on Mondays from 2-4pm. Our staff will help with gardening questions, plant identification or disease diagnostics. We also offer a potting service. Party and Meeting Venue Make your next celebration the envy of all. The Oak Park Conservatory is the ideal location for small weddings, parties, meetings and family celebrations. We can accommodate 60 to 80 people in the Conservatory Center and your guests will enjoy the unique ambience of our Tropical, Fern and Desert rooms. Call (708) 725-2400 for more details. Oak Park Conservatory Photography Policy Professional photographers are welcome to use the Oak Park Conservatory facility for photo shoots once the proper permit application has been completed. To acquire a permit application, call the Oak Park Conservatory at (708) 725-2400. Tripods are not allowed when the Conservatory is open to the public. OAK PARK CONSERVATORY Exploration Station - FREE! Saturdays, 10am-Noon Sundays, 1:30-3:30pm Come try hands-on activities at the Exploration Station! There will be a new topic each month highlighting special aspects of the Conservatory for both adults and children. Also open on Monday school holidays! This program is presented by the Friends of the Oak Park Conservatory. Toddler Exploration Time - FREE Third Fridays from 10:30-11:15am (18 to 30 months), 12:15-1:00pm (Ages 3-5) This special interactive time, offered September through November and January through May, for you and your toddler, will open up the natural world as you explore together the wonders of nature at the Oak Park Conservatory. You and your toddler will interact during guided activities, facilitated by a docent, and highlighting a different topic each month. Space is limited to 15 children and their caregivers for each event, first come, first served! Pre-registration at the Conservatory is recommended, but drop in is available. This program is presented by the Friends of the Oak Park Conservatory in conjunction with Parenthesis Family Center. Drop off potted and labeled perennial plants at the alley gate, south of the Conservatory, from 9:30 until 11:30am. You will receive a coupon for each perennial donation. Return between Noon -12:30pm with your coupon to pick from the perennials donated by others. See page 2 for more information on the Elsie Jacobsen Discovery Garden, planned for the "fourth showroom" at the Oak Park Conservatory!
