One of the most difficult jumps to master is the Axel Jump. This class gives skaters the opportunity to focus on this jump and work closely with the instructor on the key elements necessary to achieving this jump. Min 4/Max 8 Class does not meet: 11/27-29, 12/23-1/3 Noon on Th, Aug 7 - see page 90 for details Resident Lottery: Off-Ice Conditioning Supervisor: Jackie Sturtz This strength and conditioning class is designed to improve flexibility, strength, and endurance. This dynamic work out will aid young athletes in developing their bodies to be better equipped to handle their specific sport. Min 6/Max 18 Class does not meet: 11/27-29, 12/23-1/3 High Power Supervisor: Jackie Sturtz Prerequisite: Skaters must be currently enrolled in Free Skate 5 or above to enroll in this class. This class is set up to increase the skaters' power, control and endurance. The skater will be working on different drills and skills to become quicker and stronger. This class will be a great on-ice work out. Min 4/Max 10 Class does not meet: 11/27-29, 12/23-1/3 Style Class Supervisor: Jackie Sturtz Only for skaters Basic 7 and Above. This class will provide extra practice on skills while incorporating the movement of arm and leg extensions. This helps teach students to be more aware of their bodies while on the ice. Skill work will include Moves in the Field, Edges, Footwork and Turns. Min 4/Max 15 Class does not meet: 11/27-29, 12/23-1/3 Creative Skating Supervisor: Jackie Sturtz Only for skaters Free Skate 1and Above. This class will cover creative spins, spirals, moves, jumps and footwork. Skaters will have an opportunity to showcase their creative side which includes interpretive skating, connecting sequences, combinations.
