Youth Floor Hockey League (Grades 3-8)

The Youth Floor Hockey League has undergone some exciting changes to make it more enjoyable for all
involved! The number of regular season games will be 8 games with an end of the season tournament.
Leagues will not consist of co-ed teams this season but rather boys only and girls only teams based on grade
level. PLEASE NOTE SCHEDULE WILL DEPEND ON NUMBER OF TEAMS.
Season Practice Info:
• The league will start with (1) practice the weeks of Nov 3 and 10.
• Practices will be scheduled by coach on a M, Tu, W, Th, no earlier than 5pm.
• No additional practices during season.
Season Games Info:
• Eight (8) regular seaon games starting Sa, Nov 15 and conclude Th, Dec 18.
• Games will be scheduled either Tuesday, Thursday evening or Saturday morning or afternoon.
• Games will be played at District 97 Schools
• No games will be scheduled the week of November 24 and winter break for school
• All leagues will compete in a single elimination tournament during the week of January 5 & January 12
(dependant on number of teams)
• Championship games on Saturday, January 17
• Jerseys will be included in the registration fee.
• ALL PLAYERS NEED a hockey stick (plastic), mouthguard and safety glasses. All of which can be used
from the previous year. If you do not have these items they are available to purchase from the Park
District: Hockey Stick - $8.00, Safety glasses - $5.00, Mouthguard - $2.00

YOUTH SPORTS
CoRec Floor Hockey League (Grades 1-2)
Supervisor: Mike Mockler
Join our Instructional Youth Floor Hockey League
for 1st and 2nd graders! The first two weeks will be
practice/clinics only and the next four weeks will
be games on Saturday mornings. No experience
necessary. Times for practices/games will be
between 9am-1pm and will last for one hour. ALL
PLAYERS NEED a hockey stick, mouthguard and
safety glasses. All of which can be used from the
previous year. If you do not have these items they
are available to purchase from the Park District.
Hockey Stick - $8.00
Safety glasses - $5.00
Mouthguard - $2.00
