36 EARLY CHILDHOOD February: Frozen "Do you wanna build a snowman?" Just as 'some people are worth melting for', some events are worth freezing for! Join us for a fun-filled day of snowman-building, singing, and Frozen-themed crafts. Some events may be outside- please prepare for the weather. Come dressed up as your favorite Frozen character and make this event 'the best day of your life!' Min 8/Max 20 Celebrate Seuss Supervisor: Laura Sowers One fish, Two fish, Red fish, Blue fish! This program will make connections between art, science, and literature through the celebration of the cherished, rhyme mastering children's author: Dr. Seuss! Come ready to read, ready to sing, and ready for fun! Min 10/Max 20 March: Who Grows There? We all need trees! In this nature-based series children will examine various products and determine which ones are made from trees. Children will be able to describe ways that trees are used and ways they can be conserved. Help us ring in spring with this tree-spiring experience outside (weather permitting). Min 8/Max 20 One Day Winter Play Days Supervisor: Laura Sowers Throw on your warm winter gear and get out of the house for one of the following winter play days. Each day has a different theme allowing children the opportunity to explore using their 5 senses by making, playing, or building. These play days are a great place to meet new kids and adults in the area, just like you! SIGN UP FOR ALL THREE... and stay tuned for what's in store for Spring! January: Fitness and Fun - Parent/Tot Program Have a New Year's resolution related to fitness? Why not include your child while reaching your fitness goals! This one-day program is sure to raise your heart rate, make you sweat, and have a blast with your child while ringing in the new year. Min 8/Max 20 Shapes, Textures and More! Supervisor: Laura Sowers This program will provide your child with an experience that explores their 5 senses and shapes. Each week will focus on a different shape. Be prepared to get dirty, grimy, and messy as we explore the way things feel, smell, taste and look! Min 8/Max 12 Afternoon Adventurists Supervisor: Laura Sowers Spend an afternoon using your senses to look at nature, science, and more! Through open-ended questioning and problem solving activities you will have an adventure of a good time as you socialize with peers, generate brain power, and challenge your senses. Themed snack will be provided. Min 8/Max 16 Class does not meet: 4/3 Measure, Pour & Test Supervisor: Laura Sowers This is the perfect 6 week class for your little scientist. Each week participants will use their senses to experiment with everyday items such as water, sugar, eggs, and ping pong balls. They may write secret messages with invisible ink or bend straws with water; experiments equal excitement! Your child is sure to come home amazed by what they've learned and ready to amaze you with . . . Science!
