47 Ballet & Jazz Supervisor: Amanda Heiman Ballet will be the foundation of this class as young dancers refine basic ballet movements, ballet positions, proper body position and alignment. With a solid foundation of ballet, your child can better develop and enhance their jazz skills in this beginner class. The Spring Dance Recital will showcase all our dance participants. Dancers will perform in full costume - please let your instructor know if you are unable to participate. Costume fee is covered in program cost with exception of Dance and Skate participants - an additional fee will be charged for recital participants in that class. Tickets for the recital will be $4 per person. More detailed information will be provided by your instructor! Weekly lessons also concentrate on solid choreography and independence. This is a great inexpensive way to continue in the dance world and will teach young dancers poise, confidence, and character. Min 6/Max 12 Class does not meet: 4/2 Contemporary Dance Supervisor: Amanda Heiman Not all dance is quiet and reserved. Some dance is about action, movement, and staying fresh within the dance world. Contemporary dance will allow your little dancer the chance to express their emotions with a combination of hip-hop, break dance, isolation technique, and more. Dancers will be encouraged to share their own musical tastes and weekly lessons will focus more on routine based choreography. Min 6/Max 12 Class does not meet: 3/31 Hip Hop Co Ed Supervisor: Jamie Lapke This class will fuse elements from hip-hop and jazz dance. The class will focus on learning and practicing technical jazz skills as well as the style and musical clarity found in hip-hop. TO ENROLL IN THIS CLASS YOUR CHILD MUST BE 9 YEARS OLD BY JANUARY 12. Min 4/Max 20 Class does not meet: 1/19 New! Party Dance Supervisor: Amanda Heiman Come join the fun on a Saturday morning in this party dance class. Experience different steps, routines, and movements to your favorite party songs & radio music. Participants will learn and practice new skills in a safe, fun, and expressive environment.
