77 Safe Sitter Babysitting Training Supervisor: Mike Loszach Using hands-on activities, this class will cover topics such as babysitting as a buisness, how to successfully work with parents, child care essentials, injury prevention and management, and how to handle behavior issues. Participants will also walk away with a certificate of completion and tools to use on the job. A pizza lunch is included. Min 5/Max 8 New! Interview/Application Class Supervisor: Mike Loszach Are you looking for a great summer job or maybe something part-time or on the weekends? Well, you're not alone. Find out the most common mistakes applicants make when applying for jobs and how you can avoid making them. You will also learn how to prepare an effective application and resume and get tips on how to stand out in an interview. This class is taught by a Recreation Professional with the Park District of Oak Park who is responsible for hiring part-time staff. Min 10/Max 20 Teen Ceramic Fridays What a fun way to spend a Friday night with friends jammin' to music while makin' art! Sign-up to take this ceramics class where you will get creative with the wheel and hand building techniques to fashion anything from a jewelry box to a pencil holder to a coffee mug! Enjoy great music, games, giveaways, and more! Teens may pay at the door but advance registration is encouraged. Teen Night Out Supervisor: Mike Loszach Enjoy your Friday night with a new trip each month! On the third Friday of each month teens will meet at Longfellow Park before departing for their trip. Please be on the lookout for a trip schedule on our website at www.pdop.org/teens. Advance registration is required. LaserX Teen Trip Supervisor: Mike Loszach Spend some time on your Spring Break playing Laser Tag with your friends at Laser X in Addison! Their 65 hundred square foot, multi-level arena is great for players of all skill levels. Do you want to hang out on the top level and try to get unsuspecting players down below or do you want to find a safe spot on the lower level? The price of admission covers 3 20-minute game sessions, transportation, and supervision. Min 8/Max 13 Flashlight Egg Hunt Supervisor: Mike Loszach The quest for the Golden Egg begins! Treat-filled eggs will be hidden throughout the park for this teen-only event. Your challenge is to find more eggs than your friends using only a flashlight and to be the one and only teen to find Golden Egg and claim the official Golden Egg Prize. Don't forget to bring a flashlight! The actual hunt will begin when the park is dark enough (usually around 7:45 pm). Advanced registration is required. Min 12/Max 100 New! Indoor Skydiving Trip Supervisor: Mike Loszach Join us for a trip to iFly Indoor Skydiving arena in Naperville. iFly uses a wind tunnel and giant fans to simulate Skydiving without the hassle of jumping out of an airplane! There is no parachute, no jumping, and nothing attaching your body to planet earth! Included in your registration are two flights per person, a video of your flight time, all flight gear, hands on assistance with a personal instructor, and a high flight. Your first flight will allow you to get the hang of things, flying about 3-6 feet off the ground with your instructor. Your second flight is your high flight where the instructor will take you on an adventours ride through the tunnel from top to bottom up to 20 feet in the air! Min 8/Max 12 New!
