17 School's Out Fitness Challenge (Ages 12 and under) Supervisor: Paul Goedjen Earn prizes for getting outside and being active at Stevenson Park and Longfellow Park this summer! Youth ages 12 and under are encouraged to participate in the Park District of Oak Park's Fitness Challenge. Participants will earn prizes simply by logging their time spent playing and being active at Stevenson or Longfellow Park June 5 – August 23. How it works: 1. Participants will sign in with Park District staff when they arrive at the park. Staff will log their arrival time. Sign in and out must be done during basketball court hours. (See page 91) 2. Participants are free to play however they choose - playground, splash pad, basketball court, etc. 3. When the participants are done playing for the day they must sign out with Park District staff and have their exit time logged. 4. Participants will earn 1 point for each hour of logged time at the park. 5. At the end of the summer points will be totaled and participants will receive their prize! Log a minimum of 5 hours of play and receive a prize! Limited to one prize per person. SPECIAL EVENTS New! PDOP Open Gym Basketball AT FENWICK HIGH SCHOOL! The Park District of Oak Park is now hosting open gym basketball at Fenwick High School! A yearlong open gym pass can be purchased at GRC or RCRC for $10. SUMMER SCHEDULE: • Wednesdays, 7-9pm 7-8pm: Family Open Gym (parent child - no age restriction w/parent) 8-9pm: Middle School Open Gym (6-8th Grades) • Saturdays, 4-6pm 4-5pm: Family Open Gym (parent child - no age restriction w/parent) 5-6pm: Youth Open Gym (3rd - 5th Grade) • Saturdays, 6-7pm Girls Only: 3rd - 8th Grades Please note on certain dates that we will not have access to the gym.
