School's Out Fitness Challenge
(Ages 12 and under)
Supervisor: Paul Goedjen
Earn prizes for getting outside and being active
at Stevenson Park and Longfellow Park this
summer! Youth ages 12 and under are encouraged
to participate in the Park District of Oak Park's Fitness
Challenge. Participants will earn prizes simply by
logging their time spent playing and being active at
Stevenson or Longfellow Park June 5 – August 23.
How it works:
1. Participants will sign in with Park District staff when
they arrive at the park. Staff will log their arrival time.
Sign in and out must be done during basketball court
hours. (See page 91)
2. Participants are free to play however they choose -
playground, splash pad, basketball court, etc.
3. When the participants are done playing for the day
they must sign out with Park District staff and have
their exit time logged.
4. Participants will earn 1 point for each hour of
logged time at the park.
5. At the end of the summer points will be totaled and
participants will receive their prize!
Log a minimum of 5 hours of play and
receive a prize! Limited to one prize per
person.
