Classes will focus on skills and styles used in lyrical. This class is a great way to stay active and keep moving, while still look- ing graceful and elegant. Min 5/Max 12 Class does not meet: 10/13,11/24 Adult Tap Supervisor: Stefany Cotton In this new class adults will have the chance to learn an exciting style of dance. Lessons will focus on tap dancing basics, rhythm, and combinations. Well known tap sequences can be learned as well as original choreography by the instructor. This is a great way to get those feet moving! Min 5/Max 12 Class does not meet: 10/15,11/26 Intermediate Adult Ballet Supervisor: Stefany Cotton Reveal your inner ballerina. Ballet is a rhythmical dance that enriches the soul and is an excellent form of exercise. You will tone, strengthen, and lengthen your body while exploring basic ballet movements and beyond. Previous ballet experience required to join the class. Min 6/Max 14 Dancin' at the Mansion-Swing Supervisor: Stefany Cotton Come dance the night away!! Learn classic ball- room dance with special emphasis on Swing. The instructor's easy-to-follow teaching style will have you gliding across the dance floor in just a few weeks. You'll learn to Swing, Foxtrot, and Rumba all while burning some calories at the same time! No experience or partner required. Please bring smooth-soled shoes to class. Instructor: Terry Z Min 8/Max 25 Dancin' at the Mansion-Latin Supervisor: Stefany Cotton Heat up the dance floor with some hot Latin danc- ing! Salsa, Cha-Cha and Bachata will be taught in this fun and active dance class. You'll learn the basic steps and enjoy the rhythm of these exciting dances. It's great fun and great exercise!! No expe- rience or partner required. Please bring smooth- soled shoes to class. Instructor: Terry Z Min 8/Max 25 New! Adult Jazz Supervisor: Stefany Cotton This new class will teach the basics of jazz dance. Technique and skills will be learned as well as original choreography from the instructor. Let's Get Sewing! Supervisor: Amanda Heiman The holidays are fast approaching! Would you like to learn how to sew so you can sew fabulous gifts? In this three hour workshop, Angie will teach you how to operate your machine (or help you become more comfortable with it) and understand more about sewing terminology and tools as you sew a pillowcase. Participants will supply 1 yard of 100% cotton woven fabric (quilting cottons and flannels are recommended), sewing machine and scissors. Machine rental is available upon request - please contact the program supervisor. Min 5/Max 8 Sewing Skills Workshop: Mitered Corners Supervisor: Amanda Heiman Regardless if you are new to sewing or an accom- plished sewist, if you like to sew home dec items, this workshop is for you. In this workshop, learn how to sew a mitered corner which is a useful skill used in making polished corners for curtains, blanket bindings, napkins, table runners and placemats. Participants will supply one yard of cotton woven fabric, a sewing machine and basic sewing tools (scissors, thread, pins, etc.) and join Angie in mak- ing a set of napkins or placemats.
