29 Bronze Free Skate Supervisor: Kyle Sandine Prerequisite: Participants must receive passing permission from the program coordinator. Bronze Free Skate will work on landing the axel and develop a lutz/loop jump combination, layback spin, back camel spin, backward power three turns in circle and straight line brackets. The first 20 minutes of class will be a warm-up and edge class. Axel must be landed consistently to move to Advance Jumps and Spins. Min 4/Max 10 Class does not meet: 11/24-11/28, 12/22-1/02 Advanced Jump & Spin Supervisor: Kyle Sandine Prerequisite: Must receive passing permission from the program coordinator. Advance Jump and Spin will develop double jumps and advanced spinning including flying camel and flying sit spin, illusions, continuous walleys, rockers and counters in pattern. The first 20 minutes of class will be a warm-up and edge class. Min 4/Max 10 Class does not meet: 11/24-11/28, 12/22-1/02 ADVANCED SKATING Tackle That Axel Supervisor: Kyle Sandine Prerequisite: Skaters must be currently enrolled in Free Skate 6 and up to enroll for this class. One of the most difficult jumps to master is the Axel Jump. This class gives skaters the opportunity to focus on this jump and work closely with the instructor on the key elements necessary to achieving this jump. Min 4/Max 8 Class does not meet: 11/24-11/28, 12/22-1/02 Style Class Supervisor: Kyle Sandine Only for skaters Free Skate 1 and Above. This class will provide extra practice on skills while incorporating the movement of arm and leg extensions. This helps teach students to be more aware of their bodies while on the ice. Skill work will include Moves in the Field, Edges, Footwork and Turns. Min 4/Max 15 Class does not meet: 11/24-11/28, 12/22-1/02 Creative Skating Supervisor: Kyle Sandine This class will cover creative spins, spirals, moves, jumps and footwork. Skaters will have an opportunity to showcase their creative side which includes interpretive skating, connecting sequences, and combinations. The use of hoops, balls, and ribbons will be incorporated. Low skaters must be in levels Basic 7 - Free Skate 4. High Skaters must be in Bronze Free Skate and up.
