Safe Sitter Classes
Supervisor: Mike Loszach
Using hands-on activities, this class will cover
topics such as babysitting as a buisness, how to
successfully work with parents, child care essentials,
injury prevention and management, and how to
handle behavior issues. Participants will also walk
away with a certificate of completion and tools to
use on the job. A pizza lunch is included.

Advanced Reading Class
Supervisor: Mike Loszach
This advanced reading skills program teaches
students a more efficient technique to improve their
reading rate and comprehension in just 6 short
weeks! Improving your reading skills is a valuable
life skill, but it will also help with your student's
self-confidence and academic success! This course
is taught by Sylvan Learning Center's certified and
trained teachers. Sign up for the entire 12 hour

CIT Leadership Training -
Wanna Be A Camp Counselor?
Supervisor: Mike Loszach
This is a Winter Break Counselor in Training
program designed to have two days of leadership
training and two days of hands-on field experience
working with the children in our Passport to
Adventure: Winter Break program.The Counselor-
In-Training program is for teens who are ready
to take on a leadership role and learn to care for
children in a camp setting. With staff guidance
and encouragement, CITs will work with campers,
supervise field trips, and assist with games, crafts,
and activities. Besides helping the kids in your
community, being a CIT looks great on a resume
and may even help you land that paid camp
counselor position you've been dreaming of!

Barrie Center for some WInter break gaming!
Their mobile video game theater will come
with a full gaming library to this teen event.
They carry the hottest multiplayer games for
Wii, WiiU, XBOX, and PS3. A video game coach
will be on board to help things run smoothly.
Encourage your friends to sign up and then show
them who the top gamer is!

This is the place for teens looking to get off the
couch and get out of Oak Park this Spring Break!
With a field trip EVERY DAY and group games
and activities there's no time to get bored. No
need to worry about admission fees - they're all
included. With great staff who love working with
teens, parents can be assured that their teens are
in good hands and teens can rest easy knowing
that they'll have a great time with their friends -
old and new!

Mug Making & More
Supervisor: Amanda Heiman
Make a mug to hold your favorite beverage or a
bowl for your table! Handbuilding techniques, as
well as opportunities to try your hand at the wheel,
allow you creative freedom to make your perfect
piece. All materials are included - note we only
have 6 wheels available for use so worktime is split
between handbuilding and wheelwork (pending
class counts and preferences).
