32 www.pdop.org Holiday Events Conservatory Candlelight Walk Friday, December 2, 6:00pm-8:00pm Supervisor: Leah Pryor Enjoy the beauty of the season with a Candlelight Walk at the Oak Park Conservatory Friday, December 2 nd from 6pm-8pm. Enjoy holiday carolers, chestnut roasting, holiday deserts and drinks! Children can visit with Santa amongst the beautiful poinsettias and have their photo taken. Adults can sip cocktails and shop our Winter Greens Market and poinsettia sale. Register online or in-person at the Oak Park Conservatory. Preregistration is required. Min 6/Max 75 Adults Age 21+: Activity # 435903-01 ($15 Res / $23 NR) Children Age 20 & Under: Activity #435903-02 ($7 Res / $11 NR) Breakfast, Lunch & Tea With Santa Saturday, December 3, 9:00am-1:00pm Supervisor: Staff Join Santa and his elves for this wonderful family tradition at Cheney Mansion. Holiday music and a visit with Santa are all included. New toys will be collected for donation to local charities. EVERY family member attending must be registered (ages 0+). Tickets are non-refundable, or exchangeable for different seatings (unusable tickets may be returned to the Park District to be donated to local families in need). Number of guests per seating: 120. All children must be accompanied by an adult. All participants pay full price ages 0+. No high chairs or strollers allowed. For All Ages. Come help us get ready for the holiday season! Kids can take part in free cras and our Winter Greens Market will be open with garden staff on hand to help put together an arrangement for you. Enjoy wreath making workshops for adults, botanical holiday gis for gardeners, refreshments, and more! Poinsettias and paper whites will be on display and for sale. Wreath Making Sunday, December 4, 10:00am-11:30am Supervisor: Leah Pryor Learn the basic skill of making your own holiday wreath with seasonal greens, dried flowers, fruits and seed pods. e simple technique can be learned in minutes and the only time consuming part is reigning in your creativity. You won't want to stop the fun! You will take home a handmade wreath to proudly display on your door or over your mantle. For Ages 18+. Min 6/Max 15 Activity # 435322-01 Location: Oak Park Conservatory $30 Res/$45 NR Noon Year's Eve Saturday, December 31, 11:00am-12:30pm Supervisor: Leah Pryor Let your inner party animal out at our Noon Year's Eve program at Austin Gardens Environmental Education Center. Shake your tail feathers, enjoy snacks and make some festive hats and noise makers! End the aernoon with an apple juice toast and countdown to noon. Fee is per person. Min 6/Max 30 Activity # 464459-01 Location: Austin Gardens $20 Res/$30 NR Santa Trolley-Snow Snow Snow! Sunday, December 11 Times: 9:15-10:45am; 10-11:30am; 10:30-Noon; 11:15-12:45pm; 11:45-1:15pm; 12:30-2pm; 1-2:30pm; 1:45-3:15pm; 2:15-3:45pm Supervisor:Staff All aboard the Santa Trolley! e event starts and ends at the Oak Park Conservatory where you will see some special items on display while you wait to climb aboard the trolley bound for the North Pole. During your travels you will spend time with the Head Elf as she lis your spirits for your visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus, who await your arrival along with entertainment, milk and cookies! ALL RIDERS must be registered and paid to board the trolley. Please be sure you are registering all riders for the same trolley time. Space is limited, so sign up early and continue to check our website for updates. To ensure families can ride together, registration forms will only be accepted if they are dropped off, mailed to one of our registration centers, or faxed to (708) 725-2301. Registration will NOT be available online. Forms can be printed from our website at pdop.org/events/santatrolley or are available in person at GRC (21 Lake Street), RCRC (415 Lake Street) or our sponsor Geppetto's Toy Box (730 Lake Street). Registration is on a first come, first served basis. Oak Park resident registration will begin August 6 (family groups consisting of residents and non-residents will be accepted, when registration is being completed by a resident).
