Winter Break
Junior Growers Winter Camp
Supervisor: Leah Pryor
Set your little gardener on the path towards a green
thumb. Join us for the one-week camp to learn the
ins and outs of the conservatory and what it takes
to grow the perfect plant. Be sure to pack a water
bottle and a peanut-free snack and lunch with
your camper as we need energy each day for our
adventures!

Arctic Adventures Winter Camp
Supervisor: Leah Pryor
Don't let the cold weather keep you inside over
winter break; instead spend the week becoming an
arctic explorer! Join us for this one week camp to
learn all about snow and ice, how animals survive
the winter and spend some time outside! Your
arctic adventure is waiting for you! Be sure to pack
a water bottle and a peanut-free snack and lunch
with your camper as we need energy each day for
our adventures!

Jedi Robotics using LEGO® WeDo
Supervisor: Amanda Heiman
Build and program robots inspired by
a galaxy far, far away using the LEGO
WeDo system! Li an X-Wing from
Dagobah swamp, program a droid-
sorting factory, and land an Imperial Shuttle
using motion sensors. In small groups, learn basic
programming, engineering, and robotics concepts
in a fun Jedi-themed environment.

LEGO®

Build and program robots inspired by
a galaxy far, far away using the LEGO®
Mindstorms system. Navigate a minefield, target
shield generators, and even respond to the Force
using Play-Well's full array of sensors and servos.
Learn about mechanical and soware design,
loops, conditional statements, problem solving,
and teamwork skills. Work in small groups to
solve problems in this open-ended Jedi-themed
environment.

Bring Minecra to life using LEGO!
Resourcefulness, creativity, and
cooperation come together in this
unique building adventure game; roll the dice to
mine for resources, and use these resources to build
special items to help in our adventures! Build a Zoo,
create a Medieval Castle, and design a Tree House
Village! is LEGO experience is an original game
designed by Play-Well instructors inspired by the
popular game, Minecra. Students will have a blast,
even without any prior experience with Minecra
or LEGO.
