34 www.pdop.org Arts Winter Break Camp (SCAW) Supervisor: Amanda Heiman SCAW stands for: School-Year Creative Arts Workshops. is art camp is designed for students to explore their creativity, meet new people, and gain confidence in their. A new project medium will be introduced each day. Students will create art indoors and even out (weather permitting), during their morning studio time. e morning will be split into three different, 50 minute workshops all exploring new ideas! Aer lunch campers will engage in games, free choice, outdoor time, and much . . . much . . . more! Sign up to get creative with us in this camp! Regular camp runs from 8:00AM-3:00PM Extended care runs from 8:00AM-6:00PM Min 8/Max 24 Ceramics Winter Break Camp Supervisor: Amanda Heiman Get out of the house this winter break and join us in the studio. During this one week, half day camp, participants will get to try wheel throwing as well as experiment with coils and slabs. Never used a potter's wheel? Well, this is the perfect time to try - start planning your New Year's resolution to try new things, today! Registration covers material costs. Spots are limited. Please note there are only 6 wheels in the studio; therefore, pending enrollment numbers, not all students will use the wheel each class. All skill levels welcome! All participants will learn cool new strategies at the appropriate level from a renowned Chess Scholars coach. Children will have an opportunity to test for a Chess BeltĀ® under a unique Chess Scholars system patterned aer martial arts belts. Each class will consist of a fun interactive teaching period and guided practice time. ere will also be a chess competition with prizes! Each camper will take home a chess set and an award. Please bring your own snacks. Min 10/Max 20 5 Days of Archery - Winter Break Camp Supervisor: Amanda Heiman 5 Days of Archery - Winter Break will consist of fundamental training, skill building, and game learning. Each day will build off the previous one; culminating with a final competition on Friday. No previous archery experience required - spend your break with USA Archery certified instructors who will encourage and coach all ages and skill levels . . . all week long! Min 10/Max 24 Circus Winter Break Camp is camp is designed for students to try their hand at Circus. is is an introduction to the art with a small showcase display of what we've learned for parents on the last day. You will learn basic tricks and stunts straight from the circus. Trapeze and aerial silks will be taught. is is a unique opportunity and a great way to improve strength and coordination.
