In this class you and your child will
explore a variety of hand building
techniques in addition to trying their
hand at the wheel! Projects vary form pinch pots to
tiles, to sculptures to bowls . . . and more! Team up
with your child and get creative Saturday mornings
this fall. Dress ready for mess. Fee covers one child
and one adult. Please note there are only 6 wheels in
the studio; therefore, pending enrollment numbers,
not all students will use the wheel each class.

Afterschool Ceramics
Supervisor: Amanda Heiman
Spend your time aer school in the
ceramics studio. Kids will learn hand
building and glazing skills through specially
designed projects with the opportunity to
create and design their own masterpieces! An
introduction to wheel use will also be demonstrated
and practiced during class time. Please note there
are only 6 wheels in the studio; therefore, pending
enrollment numbers, not all students will use the
wheel each class. All skill levels welcome!

Studio Clay Play with Adult

Spend Saturday morning with your little one
exploring the texture of clay through simple family
projects that everyone will enjoy. From coils to
pinch pots you will create take home projects to
adorn your shelves! Dress ready for mess. Fee covers
one child and one adult.

What a fun way to spend a day with
friend's jammin'to music while makin'
art! Sign-up to take this ceramics class where you
will get creative with the wheel and hand-building
techniques to fashion anything from a jewelry box
to a pencil holder to a coffee mug! Please note there
are only 6 wheels in the studio; therefore, pending

Want to give the wheel a try? Join us
for an evening of wheel techniques,
discover, and exploration as you
experience the Park District's ceramic
studio at Dole Center. Come ready to get
messy and learn the basics. Please note the studio
only has 6 wheels; therefore space is limited. Sign
up with friends today! NEW this season we are
offering try-it workshops aer school for ages 5-13!

class . . . was absent one day . . . just need
extra studio time? For those enrolled in
any ceramics class this season, we are
offering free open studio hours one day a month
to give you time to put those final touches on your
masterpieces. Fridays, 5:00pm-9:00pm on:

• October 14
• November 11
• December 16
No registration necessary.
